Hello Fellow Woodside Villagers! I know it’s hard to believe that things migrate in the summer but it’s true. The Woodside Village Blog has migrated to its new home, under the Woodside Village Website. This new feature offers us a number of new things like a new appearance, upgraded features and it is now under control of our webmaster on his server. I would like to say a special “Thanks” to John at IDuke Technical Services for being a constant support for our efforts. I highly recommend him for any homeowner needs with their computers, upgrades, repairs, and network issues. Not only is he honest (a rarity these days), but he offers high level technical services for a great price. Just ask Rae Connelly who was told by her IT guys that her computer was trashed.

Pool Area Vandalism at Woodside Village

Clubhouse Electrical Upgraded

Hello Woodside Village! I’ve been told by a number of residents that the electrical at the clubhouse would not support a band during parties. We recently had an electrician check it out and fix some issues. He also installed a separate plug just for equipment like a band would need. So if you are thinking about reserving the Woodside Village Clubhouse/Pool for a party, don’t forget the band! Just get with me before the party and I’ll let you know where to have them plug-in! Clubhouse and Deck Renewed for Summer

As summer approaches here in Orlando and the pool use increases, it was necessary to have some repairs done at the Woodside Village clubhouse. If you stop by, you may notice that the clubhouse and deck were repaired and repainted. Enjoy your summer!

It was great seeing all the Woodside Village neighbors out having a good time, eating some tasty Bubbalou’s BBQ! I also wanted to say a special thanks our District 5 Commissioner Bill Segal (www.billsegal.com) and Orange County Fire Rescue for stopping by and enjoying the festivities with us. Speeders Update in Woodside Village

As many of you are aware, OCSO has been in Woodside Village several times recently and they have made numerous stops. Until cut through traffic realizes Woodside Village does’t enjoy or tolerate speeders, please continue to call 407 836-0800 (Traffic Unit) and have your speeding complaint logged (wait to speak to the operator). The Sector Motor Supervisor will then designate a motor unit to monitor and take the appropriate action (citations) for the drivers who fail to follow the proper speed.

Winterize Your Pool

Want to reduce your energy cost? Then go ahead and winterize your pool. Did you know pool filter pumps consume a significant amount of energy in residential homes. Swimming pool pumps were ranked as the third largest consumer of residential energy. During the winter months you only need to run your pool filter pump for 4 to 6 hours. So go reset your timers, especially if you had your timer set to run 24 hours during the cold spell, and save yourself a significant amount of money $$.
